The Basic Bible Truth
 
All mankind has a huge problem that we cannot solve for ourselves.  It is called sin.  In our frail humanity, we fail to see sin from God’s perspective.  His view of sin is clearly defined as He placed the death penalty upon all who are guilty of even the slightest wrong.  But our God also loves us and shows us mercy and grace by offering to us, free of charge, salvation.  It is the prime ingredient of our lives.  Everything else that matters, hinges on one question and its answer.  Have we come to the point in our lives that we recognize our sinful condition, and our absolute inability to help ourselves out of our precarious predicament, and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives.

This is a light hearted interview with a person from a very strange cult, the “Heavenly Head Bonkers”.
 
The Lesson
 
Hi, I’m from the Heavenly Head Bonkers, and I’d like to ask you a question.
 
            Ok, what is it?
 
Do you know for sure that if you died tonight that you would go to Heaven?
 
            Well, I believe I will.  I’ve lived a good life and tried not to do wrong.  That should help.
 
But do you know absolutely for sure?
 
            I know I want to.  But can anybody be absolutely sure?
 
Oh my, yes.  We at the Heavenly Head Bonkers can help you know for sure.
 
            And how do you do that?
 
Well, first we ask if you want to go to Heaven.  Do you want to go to Heaven?
 
            Sure, doesn’t everybody?
 
Oh my, no.  I have come across many people who don’t want to go to Heaven.
 
            Really, I can’t imagine that!
 
It’s true.  In fact, I rarely find someone who tells me that they want to go to Heaven.
 
            That just seems odd to me.  Everyone wants to go to Heaven.
 
I know.  Heaven is a wonderful place.  Beautiful and serene.
 
            Yes, it would be wonderful to go there someday.
 
Someday?  Why, we at the Heavenly Head Bonkers have a much better plan than “someday”.
 
            Really?  What do you believe about Heaven.
 
Oh, I am so glad you asked.  You see, we in the Heavenly Head Bonkers believe in sending as many people to Heaven as possible.  It is quite simple really.  If you will turn around, I will bonk you on the head with this Head Bonker and you will go straight to Heaven!
 
            Woah!  Wait a minute.  You want to bonk me on the head with that thing?
 
Why yes, and then you can go straight to Heaven.  Won’t it be great?
 
            No, no, no!  You can’t go around bonking people on the head like that.
 
But you get to go to Heaven.
 
            No, you cannot send people to Heaven that way.
 
We at the Heavenly Head Bonkers believe that it is the only way you can know for sure.
 
            I’m sorry, I don’t want to be bonked on the head and go to Heaven right now.
 
Well, OK.  I get this a lot.  If you ever change your mind, here’s my card.  I’ll be glad to come by and bonk you on the head.  You just say when.  I always have my Head Bonker with me.
